About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to join our Toowoomba office on a full-time basis.

This role is ideal for an accountant with solid compliance experience who is ready to take the next step in developing client responsibility. You will work across a portfolio of SME clients, supporting the delivery of tax compliance work while beginning to contribute to client advisory and planning discussions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, BAS, and income tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts

• Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner

• Assist in delivering tax compliance services across a varied client base

• Assist senior team members with business advisory work

• Identify client opportunities for improvement and growth

• Support preparation of management reports and financial insights

What we’re looking for

• CA or CPA qualified (or working towards completion)

• 2–4 years’ experience in business services or public practice accounting

• Solid understanding of Australian taxation (GST, PAYG, income tax)

• Experience with Xero and cloud accounting tools preferred

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

• Good communication skills with a client-focused approach

• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines

• Proactive mindset with interest in developing advisory skills
