We’re currently looking for a proactive, detail-driven Administration Assistant to join our team. This is an office-based role that plays a vital part in supporting the day-to-day administration, finance, and team operations of the business.

About the Role

This part-time position (20-25 hours per week) is ideally suited to someone looking for work life balance, without compromising on an interesting and diverse workload. This role will see you utilise your full administrative skillset across data entry, accounts, document preparation and record keeping.

Due to seasonal demand, we anticipate this role will work afternoons 4 days per week January - August and 5 days per week from September through December. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Load and maintain horse records and service contracts using stud software

  • General administration: data entry, document preparation, record-keeping, and filing

  • Bookkeeping and payroll support as required in the team

  • HR administration, including staff onboarding paperwork, policy upkeep, and maintaining employee records

  • Liaise confidently with clients, farm staff, external service providers, and suppliers

  • Assist with preparation of contracts, foal registrations, and other breeding season documentation

  • Monitor office supplies and support smooth day-to-day office operations


About you

  • Proven experience in administration and/or bookkeeping roles

  • An understanding of payroll processing and basic HR procedures

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and cloud-based programs

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management

  • Friendly, professional communication style and the ability to work with a wide range of people

  • Able to work independently and take initiative while supporting a busy team

  • Experience with equine operations or stud software (e.g. Ardex) is advantageous but not required
