There are two Foundation Firms currently operating under the Better Lawyers Group - Enterprise Legal and Donaldson Law:

Enterprise Legal was co-founded in 2017 by current owner and Managing Director, Peta Gray. In a local market saturated by traditional law firms, Peta felt like the majority of lawyers were simply ‘going through the motions’ and doing things ‘the way that they had always been done’ for no other reason than simply that. She felt that clients, especially those located outside of the capital cities, deserved better from their lawyers and she set about starting Enterprise Legal with the audacious goal of ‘doing the law better’. From its inception, Enterprise Legal has offered specialised Business, Property and Disputes legal services of the highest quality, with a focus on delivering practical and commercially-savvy outcome for it clients. Enterprise Legal is celebrating it's tenth year of providing exceptional legal services this year!

Donaldson Law is Australia’s leading trauma-informed boutique personal injuries law firm, specialising in historic child abuse claims, elite athlete claims and ADF claims. Established by award-winning lawyer, Adair Donaldson, Donaldson Law has set the gold-standard in providing trauma-informed legal services to some of Australia’s most-vulnerable people since commencing operation in 2016. Donaldson Law understands that clients who have suffered trauma need more than just a day in Court and a financial settlement; they need an outcome that is meaningful to them. Donaldson Law was acquired by the Better Lawyers Group as a founding brand in July 2024.

The Role

An opportunity exists for an exceptional candidate to join our team in a full-time capacity as a ‘face of BLG’. This role will be for a second receptionist for BLG, to support our growing Firms.

We are seeking someone who is:

If you are a dynamic ‘people person’ who possesses a genuine desire to assist clients and your team members, then the Better Lawyers Group is the place for you! The BLG approach to client services involves ‘going above and beyond’ to solve problems and achieve great outcomes, whether that be from making a superb coffee or from taking initial instructions from a potential client. 

You will be supported and mentored directly by our Operations Manager, Adrianna Williamson and Operations Assistant, Talia Manning. 

The role will involve working across both the Firms within the Group by:

• assisting with client engagement matters, including file openings and file closings;

• taking new client enquiries;

• managing the telephone switch board, including taking initial enquiries from clients and providing preliminary assistance to them (with training to be provided);

• managing appointments for all staff members;

• setting up for meetings within the office;

• client hospitality, including greeting clients, procuring food and drinks as required;

• conducting external errands outside of the office (banking and alike);

• ordering supplies for the office;

• scanning and basic admin tasks; and

• supporting the BLG Team in all aspects, from making hot drinks through to assisting with matter-based administration tasks.
