Support Worker – Study and Life Administration Support

Location: Meringandan, QLD 4352
Hours: Minimum of 20 hours per week initially during university semesters - other shifts are also available
Employment Type: Contractor

About the Role

Everyday Concierge is seeking a patient, organised and supportive person to assist an NDIS participant with study planning, administration, task management, life administration tasks and daily living responsibilities. You will play a vital role in supporting the participant to achieve their goals, maintain independence, and pursue their educational and personal development aspirations.

This is not a tutoring role. The participant is capable of completing their own work but benefits from support to create structure, organise priorities, break tasks into manageable steps and maintain momentum.

The role involves working alongside the participant to help establish routines, plan study and administrative tasks, organise paperwork, manage emails and follow-ups, and create clear starting points for work sessions.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Support the participant with study-related activities, including planning, organisation and coursework support

  • Assist with breaking larger tasks into manageable steps and establishing clear priorities

  • Support task initiation, focus and follow-through during study, administrative and daily living activities

  • Provide practical assistance with life administration, including appointments, correspondence, paperwork and email management

  • Assist with developing sustainable routines, organisational systems and life skills that promote independence

  • Help the participant access community resources and services aligned with their NDIS goals

  • Promote choice, autonomy and capacity building in all aspects of support

  • Maintain professional, accurate and timely records of support provided and participant progress

  • Work collaboratively with the Everyday Concierge team to deliver supports in line with participant goals and support plans

  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct, safeguarding requirements and organisational policies

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A patient, compassionate and inclusive approach to support

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team

  • Understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality and ethical practice

  • Proficient digital literacy and confidence using Microsoft OneDrive, email, calendars and online systems

  • Commitment to continuous professional development

Essential Requirements

  • Current driver's license

  • Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel within the local area

  • A clear, recent National Police Check (dated 2025 or 2026)

Also great but not required

  • Experience supporting people with disability, particularly adults living with autism or other neurodivergent individuals

  • Previous experience in support work, mentoring, coaching, education or administration

  • Experience with tertiary study (not necessary to have completed the study)

  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
