About the role

Due to our continually expanding practice, Granite Belt Medical Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Stanthorpe, QLD 4380. This is a part-time Practice Nurse position, working three to four days per week, that offers flexibility whilst allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be at the heart of our service delivery, providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients across our general medical and surgical services. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of care our community expects and relies upon.

What you'll be doing

1. Administering medications and treatments according to clinical protocols

2. Providing direct patient care including wound dressing, ecg's, immunisations, infusions, health assessments

3. Communicating effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care

4. Maintaining accurate and timely medical records and documentation

5. Contributing to a safe and hygienic clinical environment

6. Participating in ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical competency

What we're looking for

1. Current Australian nursing registration (AHPRA)

2. Qualification as a Registered Nurse (Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing)

3. Demonstrated experience in general practice nursing desirable but not essential

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients, families and healthcare professionals

5. Proficiency in patient documentation and electronic health records systems

6. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

7. Current knowledge of infection control procedures and health and safety standards

8. Willingness to participate in continuing professional development

9. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare setting

10. Current First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous
