About the role

Westbrook Family Medical is seeking a friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team on a fulltime basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our patients, managing appointment bookings, and supporting the overall smooth operation of our medical practice. This position offers a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment, rostering will cover our two locations located at practices in Westbrook, and Cambooya Queensland.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner

• Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including telephone bookings

• Assisting with patient registration and check-in procedures

• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality

• Handling general inquiries and providing information to patients

• Performing basic administrative tasks to support the practice

• Adhering to all practice policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients and staff in a professional and empathetic manner

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using medical practice management software and standard office software

• Understanding of medical terminology and confidentiality protocols

• Availability to work on a fulltime basis, working 38 hours per week over 4 days, including working one Saturday in four.
