Are you the type of HR professional who prefers to be where the action is?
Do you enjoy working directly with leaders, navigating complex workforce challenges and seeing the tangible impact of your work on people, culture and organisational performance?
We are seeking a practical, resilient and relationship-focused HR professional to join a high-performing People & Culture team supporting a large and complex aged care and community services organisation.
This is not a role for someone looking to spend five days a week behind a desk.
Instead, you will work alongside operational leaders across multiple sites, providing hands-on support, coaching and guidance to strengthen leadership capability, improve workplace culture and support workforce stability. You will be a visible and trusted partner, helping leaders navigate employee relations matters, workplace challenges and organisational change in real time.
Working as part of a team of highly capable HR Business Partners, you will have the opportunity to further develop your business partnering capability while contributing to meaningful outcomes for employees, leaders and the communities they serve.
About the Role This role has a strong operational focus and will involve regular travel to regional locations, including periods of extended on-site support where workforce challenges or organisational priorities require additional People & Culture expertise.
You will partner with leaders to:
- Manage employee relations, performance management, attendance and conduct matters.
- Support workplace investigations and complex case management activities.
- Coach and develop frontline leaders in people leadership and management practices.
- Facilitate leadership workshops, training programs and workforce capability initiatives.
- Support workforce planning, organisational change and culture improvement activities.
- Identify workforce risks and implement practical solutions that improve team effectiveness and workplace culture.
- Build strong relationships across a diverse operational environment and influence positive workforce outcomes.
About You You are a HR professional who combines sound judgement with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
You are comfortable working in complex environments, building credibility with leaders and supporting challenging conversations with professionalism, empathy and confidence.
To be successful you will ideally have:
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in HR advisory, HR generalist or employee relations focused role.
- Employee relations and workplace investigations experience.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and supporting leaders through workplace matters.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations and contemporary HR practices.
- Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Essential
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly.
Highly Regarded
- Experience within aged care, healthcare, community services or similarly complex operational environments.
- Experience supporting organisational change, workforce transformation or culture improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to unionised workforces and highly regulated environments.
Why Apply?
This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while accelerating your HR business partnering career.
You will join a supportive and experienced People & Culture team, work closely with operational leaders and gain exposure to complex workforce challenges that will further strengthen your capability as an HR professional.
Most importantly, your work will contribute to building stronger teams, stronger leaders and better outcomes for the people and communities the organisation serves.
