St Andrew’s Toowoomba Hospital (SATH) is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead its strategic procurement function.  This role provides the opportunity to lead a dedicated Supply team, inspiring them to support SATH’s commitment to exceptional service and care for our patients and community.

As a Procurement Manager, you'll be instrumental in aligning procurement practices with the hospital’s strategic vision, working closely with key stakeholders to support seamless operations and high-quality patient care. This is a hands-on role where you will actively manage the supply chain, implement best practices, and drive positive change across the hospital.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
We’re looking for a candidate with strong procurement experience, preferably in the healthcare sector, who is ready to lead, optimise, and enhance our supply chain processes. 

About the Role

• This position offers a diverse role and duties including:

• Lead strategic sourcing and category management across high-value consumables, prosthetics, and services

• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships to drive innovation and long-term value

• Lead commercial negotiations and manage contracts to deliver favourable outcomes and minimise risk

• Oversee tender processes and ensure procurement governance and compliance

• Analyse spend data to identify savings opportunities and support budget targets

• Develop and deliver the organisation’s procurement roadmap

• Build strong relationships with clinical and operational stakeholders to support business needs

• Prepare business cases for procurement and capital expenditure initiatives

• Ensure product governance, including recall management and supplier compliance

• Contribute to senior leadership through reporting, insights, and strategic procurement advice

What are we looking for?

We are seeking individual who brings:

• Experience in healthcare procurement, ideally within complex environments.

• Strong ERP/procurement system skills (TechnologyOne experience preferred)

• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience guiding and supporting teams

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience with procurement reporting, KPIs, and performance analysis

• Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery

• Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and safety standards
