Factory & Warehouse Supervisor

Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 + super, depending on experience

Flexshield Group is looking for a practical, hands-on Factory & Warehouse Supervisor to help lead our workshop, warehouse and production operations.

We are looking for someone who can organise work, lead people, improve flow, maintain quality standards and help keep the factory and warehouse running safely and efficiently.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the work, solving practical problems and helping build better systems as the business grows.

For more than 25 years, we have supplied industrial noise control, acoustic, welding bay and safety solutions to clients across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Our work includes industrial acoustic projects such as acoustic enclosures, pump station noise control, acoustic doors, acoustic louvres, acoustic linings, welding bays and custom engineered noise control solutions.

We manufacture, assemble and coordinate a range of products from our Toowoomba facility, supported by trusted suppliers and specialist subcontractors.

As the business continues to grow, we are focused on strengthening our manufacturing systems, warehouse control, product quality and job readiness.

About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting and leading the day-to-day coordination of our workshop, warehouse, stores, dispatch and production preparation.

The right person will be comfortable working close to the tools while also planning workflow, managing stock, supporting dispatch, coordinating people and ensuring jobs are prepared properly before they leave the factory.

We are not looking for someone who only wants to manage from an office.

We are looking for someone practical, organised and accountable who can help keep the shed moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

Factory & Workshop Operations

Coordinate daily workshop and production activities.
Organise labour, materials, equipment and workflow.
Ensure jobs are manufactured, assembled and prepared to the required standard.
Monitor production priorities and deadlines.
Work with sales, projects and operations to understand upcoming work.
Identify bottlenecks, delays and production risks early.
Strengthen workshop layout, workflow and efficiency.
Support maintenance planning and equipment availability.

Warehouse, Stores & Dispatch

Manage receiving, storage, stock control, picking, packing and dispatch.
Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records.
Strengthen warehouse organisation and material flow.
Coordinate freight, transport and dispatch requirements.
Ensure jobs are packed and prepared correctly for site or delivery.
Support job readiness by ensuring materials, fixings and components are available when required.
Improve stock accuracy, material flow and dispatch reliability.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Maintain and improve product quality standards.
Implement practical QA checks for manufactured and assembled products.
Identify causes of rework and help prevent repeat issues.
Improve workshop procedures, checklists and documentation.
Support NCR closeout and lessons learned.
Drive simple, practical continuous improvement across factory and warehouse operations.

Team Leadership

Lead, coach and support workshop and warehouse staff.
Set clear expectations around safety, quality, productivity and accountability.
Coordinate day-to-day labour requirements.
Coordinate internal and external labour where required.
Build a positive, practical and disciplined factory culture.
Encourage clear communication between factory, projects, sales and installation.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure WHS requirements are followed in the workshop and warehouse.
Conduct regular safety checks and address hazards.
Ensure equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
Support safe handling, storage and dispatch of materials.
Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas.

Reporting & Planning

Track basic factory and warehouse KPIs.
Report on production status, stock issues, dispatch readiness and quality concerns.
Support weekly planning meetings.
Provide practical updates on what is on track, at risk or blocked.

Required / Desirable

Required

Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, warehouse or production leadership role.
Strong understanding of safe workshop and warehouse practices.
Ability to lead people and coordinate daily work.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Forklift licence.

Desirable

Fabrication or trade background.
Experience with acoustic, sheet metal, steel, construction or industrial products.
Experience with ERP, inventory or production systems.
Experience implementing practical quality or continuous improvement processes.
Experience coordinating dispatch or job readiness.
