About the role

MJ Smith Ground Preparation Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Semi Truck Driver to join our dynamic civil construction team in Dalby, Queensland. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects, operating heavy vehicles at worksites. This is a casual/fulltime position that offers competitive remuneration and excellent career progression opportunities.

THIS IS NOT A FLY IN FLY OUT POSITION

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate a range of heavy vehicles, including Prime Mover with water tanker, Prime Mover with Semi Trailer, Rigid Water Truck on construction and gas sites

• Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain vehicles in line with safety and compliance requirements

• Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles as needed

• Liaise with site supervisor and construction manager 

• Comply with all relevant workplace health and safety policies and procedures

• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Truck Driver in the civil construction industry

• A current Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence

• Strong knowledge of vehicle operation, maintenance and safety protocols

• Excellent time management and communication skills

• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving

• A commitment to working safely and adhering to workplace policies and procedures

• Applicant must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and complete client and company inductions

• Drivers must comply with drug and alcohol testing

• Current drivers record must be provided
