Position Overview:
Our host employer operates a commercial cleaning business and is contracted to multiple corporate clients and site cleaning locations in the region. The successful applicant will work within small, supportive teams, gaining experience across different functions in the industry. Long-term, ongoing employment maybe available at the successful completion of the traineeship.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cleaners are responsible for undertaking a range of tasks according to work schedules, liaising with clients and in some cases members of the public, and operating in a range of general residential and commercial settings as well as specialist cleaning environments.

Day-to-day tasks may include:
- selecting and applying cleaning agents to remove stains from surfaces
- filling cleaning machines with water and other cleaning agents
- treating surfaces with soil-repellent chemicals and deodorants, and treating for pests
- cleaning stone walls, metal surfaces, fascia’s and window frames using high pressure water cleaners and solvents
- applying chemicals and high-pressure cleaning methods to remove micro-organisms from water and filtration systems
- using wet vacuums and other suction equipment to remove scale, accumulated dirt and other deposits from swimming pools, cooling towers components and drains.

Position Requirements:

To fulfil the requirements of Certificate III in Cleaning Operations with Golden West Apprenticeships you will:

- Abide by the terms and conditions of the Training Contract.
- Complete Golden West Apprenticeships inductions.
- Perform work in a satisfactory manner.
- Commit to and complete the Training Plan in the timeframe allocated by completing theory based assessments and demonstrating skills through competency based assessments to the best of your ability.
- Comply with registration relevant to your field of work, in particular the Further Education and Training Act and the Work Health and Safety Act.
