Part of the Parks & Recreation Services Branch, the Tree Services Team plays an essential role in the preservation and care of Council’s Tree assets that grace our urban and regional landscapes. About the position

As an Arborist, you will be responsible for performing a broad range of specialist tasks in an arboricultural work team with the efficient delivery of the desired levels of service of park infrastructure within the Toowoomba Region.

You will work under limited supervision.

What you'll bring

• A Manual ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
• A WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• Chainsaw Operation – Level 1 – Trim & Cut Felled Trees and Chainsaw Operation – Level 2 – Fell Trees Manually (Basic), or a willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement.
• The skills and knowledge required to maintain plant and equipment, and to undertake all aspects of the role.
• Customer service and team work skills.
• A strong sense of accountability.
