We are now seeking experienced O&M Technicians to join our Operations and Maintenance team in Western Downs, QLD. You will play a key role in keeping our solar plants operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys fault finding, working with high-performing systems, and being part of a team that contributes directly to Australia’s clean energy future.

About the Role

As an O&M Technician, you will report to and support the O&M Plant Manager in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our solar power plants. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance, monitoring plant performance, supporting fault diagnosis and ensuring all work is completed in line with safety, quality and contractual requirements.

You will work across large-scale solar infrastructure, including HV/MV systems, and PV arrays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring plant performance and support optimal equipment operation.

• Conducting visual inspections, thermographic testing, root cause analysis and preventative maintenance.

• Performing preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance in line with OEM recommendations and site requirements.

• Identifying, troubleshooting and rectifying faults to minimise downtime.

• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, reports and operational logs.

• Liaising with clients, grid operators, the O&M Plant Manager, contractors and local authorities as required.

• Following all WHS requirements and actively contribute to a safe site environment.

• Supporting continuous improvement in plant availability, reliability and performance.

About you

You will bring strong technical capability, a practical problem-solving mindset and a genuine commitment to safety and quality. You are confident working independently when required, while also contributing positively to a site-based team environment.

To be successful, you will need:

• A valid unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence.

• A Construction White Card.

• A full Australian Driver’s Licence.

• A current HV Switching Ticket, with experience in PLQ switching protocols.

• At least 4 years’ experience in a similar electrical, operations or maintenance role. Experience working with HV/MV switchyards, substations, PV arrays or large-scale electrical infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems and renewable energy operations.

• Experience using CMMS, SCADA and other relevant monitoring or maintenance systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
